A furnished cozy bedroom is available now in my great apartment at 8th and T. 3 months minimum preferred, but can do short term and flexible times, too. Great for grad students, interns, and folks who are new to town.

The apartment is newly renovated and mostly furnished (I still need a couch), including the bedroom. I'm still in the process of decorating. There's a sunny living/dining room with a bay window, a new bathroom, and an eat in kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer. Your bedroom is small, but it has a twin bed, desk , full size window and a closet. Sheets, blankets etc are included if you need them. There is also a small front yard and we can use the back patio/my parking spot for grilling when it's nice out.

Utilities, internet and a monthly cleaning are included, but I don't have and don't want to get cable. Although movie marathons are always welcome. You'll be living with a 30-something woman and a sweet 5 year old cat. Easy going, drama free living with no arguing over whose turn it its to clean the bathroom!

The apartment is 1.5 blocks from the Shaw/Howard Metro stop, 1/2 a block from a bike share station, right near U street and a 10 minute walk to Logan Circle, 25 minutes to Dupont and Adams Morgan. Tons of great Ethiopian food just one block over on 9th street and an easy walk to all the interesting shops and restaurants on 14th.

I like to cook - I make excellent butternut squash soup, burgers and fabulous cakes and I'm happy to share. I like to swim, read, travel and I try to fit in some dancing, singing and yoga. I'm down for the occasional dance party, but am more interested in game nights and potlucks. I eat some meat, but have happily lived with vegetarians and vegans.
